A 19-year-old Germantown Hills woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on state Route 116 Saturday afternoon.
Kennedie L. Vote, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near the intersection of Byerly Road, near Germantown Hills, said Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman.
Illinois State Police said the crash was reported at 3:46 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary investigation revealed a black Ford pickup driven by Rebecca Gorman, 18, of Washington, was traveling east when she lost control, striking the median guardrail.
Gorman’s vehicle then traveled into the westbound lane and struck a Honda sedan driven by Vote. Debris from the crash struck a Honda van driven by Dawn Morris, 47, of East Peoria. She was treated for minor injuries at a Peoria hospital, police said.
Gorman was issued a ticket for improper lane usage, police said.
The road was closed for several hours and the crash remains under investigation, police said.
