New Milford, CT : Pedestrian seriously injured after struck by a car near O’Connor’s Public House Bar on Saturday, June 4, 2016

A man was seriously injured early Saturday morning in New Milford after he was struck by a Jeep Cherokee while in a crosswalk outside of a Railroad Street bar, police said.

New Milford police said the man was found shortly after 2 a.m. unresponsive and lying on his side near O’Connor’s Public House Bar at 46 Railroad Street.

The victim was brought to the hospital with “severe injuries,” police said. Railroad Street was closed for more than three hours while the New Milford Crash Investigation Team scoured the area.
