1 dead in crash on New Jersey Turnpike in Mercer County

One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.It happened at 12:30 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes approaching exit 7A in Robbinsville, Mercer County. The crash involved a minivan and a tractor trailer.

New Jersey State Police tell Action News one person was thrown from a vehicle and killed immediately.
There was no immediate word on that person's identity.The center and right northbound lanes were closed for more than four hours as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
