WINNESHIEK COUNTY, IA : A semi-involved accident leaves three people injured on Wednesday, 27th March 2019
Wednesday morning, the Iowa State Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 24 south of Calmar. A car drove into the wrong lane, hitting the front of a semi truck.
According to authorities, the semi stopped on the road with the trailer in a ditch looking south. The car also came to rest on the road.
The Iowa State Patrol reports three people were injured. Mary G. Hegg was sent to Gunderson Hospital by Gunderson Air and John Hegg was sent to Winneshiek Hospital by ambulance. The third reported injury belonged to a child. The severity of their injuries has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
