Huntersville, NC : One dead, one injured after vehicle flips in Huntersville on Saturday, August 30, 2014

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a deadly roll over crash in Huntersville. Huntersville Police say William Reid was killed. It happened just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday on McCoy Road between Hambright and Beatties Ford Roads. The driver, Evan Matthew Purtill, was taken to CMC main. He's expected to be ok. Huntersville Fire tells they arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle on its side. They say two people were inside the vehicle. One person appeared to have been thrown from the vehicle during the crash and was found outside the vehicle with minor injuries. The second person's body was found inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on scene. McCoy Road was immediately closed following the accident while fire and police personnel operated on the scene. This accident remains under investigation.
