Vevay,IN : Indiana mother accused of crashing while on heroin with twin toddlers in the car on August, Thursday 3rd 2017

A Vevay, Indiana mother is accused of flipping her car on I-71 while under the influence of heroin while her twin toddlers were in the backseat. Ashley Davis was arraigned on charges of child endangering, OVI, and drug and traffic charges.
Police say Davis crashed on the highway in Silverton on Thursday. Narcan was used to revive her and she was taken to the hospital.
Her twins were properly restrained in the backseat and reportedly weren't hurt. They are currently with Davis' parents.
Investigators say they found heroin and a syringe in the car.
Assistant prosecutor David Wood said these drivers who ingest heroin are such a danger because they never know what they're getting from dealers: "They're shooting complete question marks every time they shoot up and when you put two young children, age 2, in a couple-thousand-pound car and get on the expressway after you've shot heroin, you have no respect or regard for other people, you have no respect or regard for your own children, and certainly you've lost all respect or regard for your own life."
Davis can get out of jail if she wears an electronic monitoring device. Her attorney said she'll seek treatment.
