The death of a person who was hit by a car in northwest Charlotte early Friday is being investigated as a homicide, detectives said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were called to a crash involving a pedestrian along Brookshire Boulevard, near Interstate 85, around 2 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been hit by a car lying in the road. The victim, who hasn't been identified, was pronounced dead by the officers.
