WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI : All lanes open after crashes on slippery I-41 SB in Winnebago County on Thursday, 3rd January 2019
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is urging drivers to use their winter driving skills after a series of crashes slowed traffic on I-41 SB Thursday morning.
Several cars crashed on a slick stretch of highway between Main St and Winneconne in the Neenah area.
The Sheriff's Office tweeted that the slow down involved "6 or 7 separate incidents." They confirmed with Action 2 News that several cars crashed on the slippery road.
"Hey folks ... It's still winter out... that means it's still slippery ... take it easy and slow down," the office tweeted.
Salt trucks were out treating slick roads.
The crash happened at about 6:20 a.m. It was cleared at 7:41 a.m.
