Logansport, IN : One driver injured in a crash in downtown Logansport on Monday morning, June 20, 2016
A crash at an intersection in downtown Logansport Monday morning sent one driver to the hospital.
First responders were dispatched to the crash at about 7:58 a.m. June 20, Logansport Police Sgt. Shawn Heishman said.
Heishman said Robby A. Hollon, 31, Hazel Green, Kentucky, was heading west on East Broadway in a white Dodge Ram hauling a trailer.
"The driver stated he looked up and noticed the light had turned red and was unable to stop in time to avoid collision with the other vehicle," Heishman said.
Timothy J. Kopkey, 50, Logansport, was heading south on Sixth Street across East Broadway in a white Chevrolet van, Heishman continued.
The Ram struck the van on its rear driver's side, Heishman said. He added Kopkey was transported to Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Logansport Memorial Hospital does not release patient statuses to the media.
The Logansport Fire Department and Prompt Ambulance Central also responded.
