A man died in a single-vehicle crash in New Richmond Thursday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Johnny R. Cresap, 69, of New Richmond, was driving westbound on Bethel-New Richmond Road when his vehicle veered off the right side of the road, striking a retaining wall, police said.

Cresap was declared dead at the scene by the Clermont County Coroner, police said.

Police said Cresap was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
