RIPLEY, NY : One killed on Route 20 in Ripley, New York, crash on Sunday, 30th September 2018

One person was killed and a second seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Chautauqua County on Sunday night.

The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday on Route 20 in Ripley, New York, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday morning. A westbound vehicle driven by 22-year-old Ripley resident Madison E. Dunlap and an eastbound vehicle driven by 58-year-old Fredonia, New York, resident Kim M. Robbins collided head-on, according to deputies.

Dunlap was pronounced dead at the scene. Robbins was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk and was later transferred to UPMC Hamot. Information on her condition was not available Monday morning.

Members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
