Lebanon , OR : Two injured in a two-vehicle collision at Denny School Road on Wednesday ,April 20th, 2016
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred around 4:30 p.m. on April 20 on Denny School Road.
The crash involved four people.
Deborah Jeanne Meyer, 61, was listed in serious condition when she was transported from the scene. Another passenger, Barbara Ellen Becker, 73, was treated for minor injuries.
Meyer was listed in fair condition at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis on April 22.
Firefighters and paramedics from the Lebanon Fire District arrived on scene to find one car in the roadway and the other in a ditch at the intersection of Denny School and Sandridge roads. The cars' makes and models were not immediately
available.
Firefighters used hydraulic extrication tools to remove the passenger door from the vehicle in the roadway, then removed its roof to free the two adult females inside. Both were wearing seat belts and the vehicle's airbags deployed. They were
transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. Their injuries weren't deemed life-threatening.
An adult male and adult female in the second vehicle were uninjured.
According to Linn County Sheriff's Office Lt. Randy Voight, one car was making a left onto Sandridge Road when it was struck by the second, which was headed into Lebanon on Denny School Road.
Traffic was diverted for about an hour-and-a-half at Oak Street and Denny School Road to the west, and at Airway and Airport roads to the east.
One engine, two medic units, a battalion chief and two chief officers from the LFD were on scene for 46 minutes. They were assisted by crews from the Sweet Home Fire and Ambulance District and the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
