CAVALIER, ND : Cavalier woman died in police chase crash on Tuesday, 1st May 2018

Authorities have identified a Cavalier woman who died in a crash during a police chase in Pembina County that began with a report of a reckless driver.

The Highway Patrol says the sport utility vehicle driven by 45-year-old Dena Peterson went in the ditch off state Highway 5, struck a field approach and rolled while she was being pursued by a sheriff’s deputy Saturday night.

Peterson was taken to a Grand Forks hospital, where she died.

The patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
