FLORENCE, SC : Coroner releases identity of woman killed in motorcycle crash on Sunday, 6th November 2016
A motorcycle crash on Alligator Road in Florence leaves one woman dead, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
The passenger of a motorcycle, involved in an accident on Sunday evening, is identified as 26-year-old Heather Michelle Locklair of Florence, according to Coroner Lutcken.
The crash happened Sunday night at 8:10 p.m. Highway Patrol troopers said two people were on the motorcycle and at some point they tried to make a turn when traveling west, then crashed into a car which was heading east. The impact threw both people off the bike.
The driver of the car was not injured, and Locklair was taken to the hospital. She died a short time later, Coroner Lutcken said.
Highway Patrol said both motorcycle riders were not wearing a helmet.
The incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
