Danbury, CT : Car crashes into school bus in Danbury on Tuesday afternoon, September 27, 2016

A car crashed into a school bus carrying students from Saint Joseph School on Tuesday afternoon, but no one was injured.

The front end of the silver Nissan Sentra was smashed and wedged underneath the Danbury Public Schools bus. The driver said she was not hurt. An officer at the crash also said no one was injured.

Saint Joseph Principal Lisa Lanni said there were 28 eighth-grade students on the bus, who were heading back to their school after a visit at Immaculate High School.

The accident occurred on Main Street, near the intersection of Garamella Boulevard and Franklin Street, around 12:45 p.m.
