GREGG COUNTY, TX : DPS investigating after officer involved crash in Gregg County on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

A Gregg County sheriff’s deputy collided with another vehicle at an intersection on Highway 259 Tuesday.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Hamby Road and Highway 259 north of Longview.

One vehicle was crossing Hamby, going westbound, when they collided with the other. It is not yet clear which vehicle was crossing when the crash occurred.

According to DPS, both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
