WORCESTER, MA : Man injured in crash on Grafton St., Worcester on Wednesday, October, 25th 2017
A 30-year-old man suffered a serious head injury Wednesday night after a car he was driving hit a utility pole on Grafton Street.
A preliminary investigation found that the victim was driving a 2005 Ford Focus north on Grafton Street when it crossed the solid double center line and traveled in the southbound lane until it hit the utility pole near 1438 Grafton St., police said.
Police were called out at 9:47 p.m. The victim was removed from the vehicle by firefighters using an extrication tool.
He was taken to the hospital, where police were told he is in critical condition with possible internal injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, police said.
