Pooler , GA : Two Peoples were injured in Three Vehicle crash near Pooler parkway near I-16 on Tuesday Morning , January 13th 2015

Emergency crews responded to a bad wreck on Pooler Parkway southbound at Blue Moon Crossing, near I-16 in front of the BP gas station Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. Three vehicles were involved and one car went off the side of the road and split apart. A man had to be extricated from the vehicle that broke apart and was taken to Memorial with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was the only person in that vehicle.

"Anytime you're hit hard enough that you've torn a vehicle in half and that you're still able to be conscious and alert and talking to us, you're very fortunate," said Wade Simmons, Pooler Fire Chief.

One other man involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and four other people were treated at the scene.

The crash has since been cleared.

Pooler Fire, Pooler Police and GSP responded. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
