St.Augustine, FL : Pedestrian died after being hit by a car in on U.S. 1 in St Johns County on Saturday, Nov 14, 2015

A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine Shores just before 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to FHP, Todd William Kiger, 50, was walking across the southbound lanes of U.S. 1 in the St. Augustine Shores area and was not using a crosswalk. Troopers said Kiger walked into the path of a car and was hit.

Prior to the crash, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office reported receiving calls about a man wandering in the roadway.
