Four children and a 66-year-old woman died when a van rolled into the ditch on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation over the weekend.
The FBI said a preliminary investigation found the crash occurred when the driver lost control of a minivan about 10 miles south of Red Shirt in far southwest South Dakota on Saturday. The van then rolled into a ditch.

The 19-year-old driver, Wallace Little, survived the crash, along with three children ages 2 to 12.


The FBI identified the five who died as as Jeremy Little, 13; Mato Sires, 10; Winya Wastewin Decory, 4; Jenhae Swift Eagle, 10; and Wanda Sires, 66.

The FBI investigation is now looking into whether any criminal conduct was involved in the deadly crash.
