A man was killed and another injured in a head-on crash in Statesville Wednesday morning.
The wreck happened around 6 a.m. on Garner Bagnal Boulevard at Wall Street. Deputies said two truck collided head-on in the intersection.
Iredell County EMS pronounced one person, later identified as 65-year-old Montie Stephen Lippard, dead at the scene. A 38-year-old man was also injured and transported to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, officials said, but suffered minor damage.
Deputies have not released a possible cause for the crash, but said the investigation is ongoing.
No charges have been filed.
