HAMMOND, IN : Car crashes into home after traffic accident in the 900 block of Conkey Street on Saturday, 25th April, 2020

A two-vehicle crash sent one car careening through a fence up to a home late Saturday in the 900 block of Conkey Street, police said.

Emergency crews responded about 9 p.m. to the intersection of Conkey Street and Rhode Avenue for the crash, which involved a silver Dodge minivan and a Black Dodge Avenger.

The Avenger spun off the road during the crash, crushed a fence and came to rest against a home, according to eyewitnesses and police.

No injuries or damage to the home was reported, Hammond police Lt. Steve Kellogg said.
