Callands,VI : Callands man killed in evening crash on June, Saturday 10th 2017

A 63-year-old Callands resident was killed in a Saturday evening crash in Pittsylvania County.

Virginia State Police said the crash occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Va. 750 at its intersection with Va. 865.


A 2001 Ford Mustang ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to a news release.

The driver, Delvis Lee Scearce, was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
