3 dead in Central crash in Fresno California
The California Highway Patrol says three people, including a 9-year-old boy, died when two cars collided at a rural Fresno County intersection.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am allegedly ran a stop sign west of Fresno, hitting a Chevrolet Tahoe carrying five passengers.
The boy, who was one of the passengers, and the driver of the Pontiac died at the scene. A third person, also in the Chevrolet, later died at an area hospital. Other crash victims were hospitalized, though their conditions were not immediately known.
