Grant Township,MI : Driver enters plea in Alma nun hit-and-run fatal on October, Monday 16th 2017

A Gratiot County man faces sentencing in the hit-and-run death of an Alma nun after entering into a plea agreement with prosecutors Monday.

Justin Fell, 33, pleaded no contest to failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault and/or causing death, a 15-year felony; and a moving violation causing death, a one-year misdemeanor in front of Circuit Court Judge Randy Tahvonen.

No contest is not an admission of guilt but is treated as such for sentencing purposes; there is not an agreement with respect to a sentencing range, said Gratiot County Prosecutor Keith Kushion.
