St. Johns, FL : Fiery multi-vehicle crash kills one, injures three on U.S. 192 near St. Johns River on Thursday, 26th December, 2019

A 73-year-old Montana man was killed in a fiery head-on crash Thursday night on U.S. 192 just west of the St. Johns River, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Ronald King of Plains, Montana, was pronounced dead at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne after the crash — which involved two other vehicles and blocked eastbound lanes of U.S. 192 for hours.

The crash happened about 8 p.m. at Radar Road. That's where Melbourne driver Bobby Rumbough, 48, lost control of his westbound 1997 Ford truck and shifted into the eastbound lanes, troopers said in a press release.

Rumbough's truck slammed head-on into King's 2019 Buick Cascada. Rumbough suffered serious injuries.
