JACKSON COUNTY, IL : Jackson County Sheriffs Office investigating school bus crash near Murphysboro on Monday, 22nd January 2024

The bus reportedly belonged to the Carbondale School District, but there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident, according to WFCN.The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a traffic crash involving a mini-van and a bus on IL-127 near Hoffman Road in rural Murphysboro, Illinois.

According to a news release from JCSO, the crash happened around 1:29 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22. The sheriff's office along with the Jackson County Ambulance Service, the Murphysboro Pomona Somerset Township Fire Department, and the Murphysboro Fire Department all responded to the scene.
