Lima, OH : Motorcyclist injured in crash with car in Shawnee Township on Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2016

A man on a motorcycle was injured Sunday afternoon when a car turned in front of him.

Terry McVay, 33, of Lima, was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center where he remained in stable condition late Sunday, a nursing supervisor said.

McVay was westbound on Western Ohio Avenue crossing Shawnee Road to continue onto state Route 117 when an eastbound car, turning north onto Shawnee Road, turned in front of him, said Sgt. Shane Hartman of the Shawnee Township Police Department.

Paige Bowers, 16, was the driver of the car, Hartman said.

The crash remained under investigation Sunday and a citation had not been issued, Hartman said.
