A motorcyclist is seriously injured after police say he crashed into a car on Interstate-95 Southbound on Saturday afternoon.
State police say Jason Coran Gadson, 31, of Norwalk, was driving “in a reckless manner” when he hit the back of a Ford Explorer near Exit 7 on I-95. Gadson suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Stamford Hospital, according to police.
The driver and passenger in the Ford Explorer were not injured.
Gadson was issued a misdemeanor summons and charged with reckless operation, misuse of markers, operating while under suspension, operating a motorcycle without insurance, unregistered vehicle and following too close.
Gadson is scheduled to appear in Stamford Court on Aug. 21.

The crash, which occurred around 3 p.m., closed right and center lanes for nearly an hour and a half Saturday afternoon, causing congestion for about six miles between exits 13 and 6, according to the Department of Transportation. At one point, delays in the area were expected to be about 30 minutes, according to the DOT.
Both the motorcycle and Ford Explorer were towed from the crash. The accident was cleared around 5:20 p.m.
