MEREDITH, NH : Campton man dies in crash on I-93 on Monday, November, 20th 2017

A Campton man is dead after he crashed into a tree Monday morning.

New Hampshire State Police were called to mile marker 67 on Interstate 93 South for a report of a van that had crashed off the right side of the highway.

Officials said 46-year-old Robert Chamberlain was exiting I-93 in Meredith when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a large tree.


Troopers said weather conditions combined with unreasonable speed were contributing factors in the crash.

Police said snow squalls at the time, along with cold temperatures, caused the roadway to become slippery.
