Authorities say a tractor-trailer crashed and spilled mail onto a central Ohio road, and crews had to pick up thousands of scattered envelopes and packages.
The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in northeast Columbus. Police say the truck driver lost control when a minivan traveling in the opposite direction came into the truck's lane. When the truck driver swerved to avoid the van, its load shifted, causing the truck to lose control and crash into a tree.
Police say no injuries were reported.
The truck driver was cited for failure to control. Police didn't have any information about the driver of the minivan.
Officers remained on the scene until the mail could be cleaned up
