Bryan, OH : Two killed in Williams County crash on Thursday evening, August 4, 2016

Two Williams County women were killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash west of here.

Killed were Debbie Riley, 51, and her passenger, Janie Williams, 48, both of Montpelier. Riley was pronounced dead at the scene by Williams County Coroner Dr. Kevin Park, while Williams was taken to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where she was pronounced dead.

The other motorist, Casey Sanders, 25, Edgerton, was taken by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where a condition update was unavailable.

According to troopers of the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Defiance post, at 7:25 p.m., Riley’s vehicle was northbound on Ohio 576 at U.S. 6. She failed to stop at the intersection and collided with Sanders’ vehicle. Damage was heavy to the vehicles.

Assisting at the scene were the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County EMS and Bryan Fire Department.
