Jacksonville, FL : Alaska man killed in Jacksonville crash during trip to Florida on early Thursday, June 26, 2014

A 24-year-old Alaska man visiting family was killed in a wreck early Thursday on North Main Street in Jacksonville.

Bradley Douglas Kauffman was a passenger with Andrew Derek Kauffman, 25, of Yulee when their Nissa Xterra crashed off the road into a light pole and fire hydrant about 2:30 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The sport-utility vehicle overturned several times near Tisonia Street.

Bradley Kauffman died and Andrew suffered critical injuries. Both were wearing seat belts, the Highway Patrol said.
