Woman who was hit by a vehicle Saturday, died while being airlifted to Columbia for treatment to her injuries, Lancaster deputies say.
When deputies arrived on the scene of the Kershaw collision, the woman reportedly told them that she was hit by a vehicle.
Deputies say they were able to talk to the woman and a man on scene.
She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but it was decided that she should be flown to Columbia because of the severity of her injuries. Deputies say she died on the medical flight.
Few details have been released about the collision. No one has been arrested and no names have been released.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's office is investigating.
