Catahoula Parish, LA : Deville man dies in Catahoula Parish crash on La. Highway 913 on Monday, 14th January 2019

A Deville man died Monday when he lost control of the loaded log truck he was driving, according to Louisiana State Police.

Matthew D. Howerton, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.The crash happened around noon on La. Highway 913, north of La. Highway 8, in Catahoula Parish. Howerton was driving a 2000 Freightliner southbound when he lost control and ran off the left side of the road.

The truck then went into a ditch and overturned. Howerton wasn't wearing his seat belt and was partially ejected, according to the release.
