Simi Valley, CA : One person was injured in a rollover crash at Highway 118 On Saturday, July 9th, 2016

One person was taken to a hospital after a rollover crash Saturday night on Highway 118 in Simi Valley, officials said.

The two-vehicle crash was reported just after 10:30 p.m. on westbound side of the freeway near the Tapo Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

One of the vehicles rolled over and landed on its roof, authorities said. A person was trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued by crews with the Ventura County Fire Department, officials said.

The person was later taken to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.

Caltrans crews were requested to repair a guardrail and some lanes of traffic were being blocked, the patrol reported.
