Marion County, FL : New York woman killed in car crash on State Road 326 at Northwest 77th Street on Sunday, 5th January, 2020

A traffic crash Sunday morning in northwest Marion County claimed the life of a 54-year-old New York woman and left an Ocala man in critical condition, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Helen W. Samerson-Richardson, of Brooklyn , New York, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred on State Road 326 at Northwest 77th Street at 6:20 a.m., according to an FHP press release.

According to the press release, a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta driven eastbound on SR 326 by Anthony Ray Andrews, 52, of Ocala, with Samerson-Richardson as a passenger in the front right seat, “turned left at Northwest 77th Street into the path of a 2014 Mercedes Sprinter van driven westbound on SR 326 by Do Van Nguyen, 38, of Syracuse, New York, with Sinh D. Troung, 60, of Liverpool, New York, as a passenger.
