Middlefield, OH : 10 people injured in 2-car northeast Ohio crash on Sunday, October 12, 2014

Authorities say a two-vehicle accident in northeast Ohio has sent 10 people to hospitals — including eight members of an Amish family that lives in the area. The Amish family — a father, mother and six children ages 3 ½ months to 15 — was riding in Chevrolet Traverse SUV when it was hit by a van in an intersection in Middlefield Township, an area with a large Amish population east of Cleveland. It happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday. The Northeast Ohio Media Group reports that none of the injuries were life-threatening, although the father, 33-year-old Joe Miller, may have suffered a head injury.
