Allentown, PA : A 26-year-old Reading man was killed in a head-on crash on Friday, May 29, 2017

A 26-year-old Reading man was killed early Friday morning in a head-on crash in Penn Township, state police at Reading said.

Juan Manzano-Ruiz was southbound on Bernville Road, which is Route 183, shortly before 5 a.m. and was coming around a curve near Tulpehocken Drive when a northbound pickup truck, driven by Fred S. Williams, 74, of Muhlenberg Township, crossed the center line and veered into Manzano-Ruiz's path, police said in a news release. Williams' truck then traveled off the road and up an embankment before overturning and coming to rest on its roof, police said. He was taken to Reading Hospital with moderate injuries, they said.
