JERUSALEM TWP, OH : Alcohol marijuana use suspected in Jerusalem Twp fatal crash on Sunday, 21st January 2024

A Cleveland man faces three criminal charges in the death of a 92-year-old Oregon, Ohio woman.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Caleb E. Moore, 23, was driving a Honda CRV westbound on State Route 2 near Lyon Road around 6:44 p.m. on January 21. Investigators believe he ended up crossing lanes, hitting a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound.

The driver of the Camry, a 67-year-old Curtice man, was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center with serious injuries. The passenger, Mary Spetz, died in the crash. Moore was taken to St. Charles Hospital with minor injuries.

All occupants were wearing seat belts, but alcohol and marijuana is a suspected factor in the crash.
