Woman Dies in Midtown Accident
Three people have been injured and one woman died in an accident that occurred when two vehicles collided at an Anchorage intersection.
Anchorage Police report that the accident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Northern Lights Boulevard and A Street.
Anchorage police say a white Tahoe being driven by a 16-year-old driver was heading westbound on Northern Lights when it broadsided a white Jeep that was heading north.
There were four passengers in the Jeep, and all four were injured and taken to a local hospital. Police say Cathrine Cope, 27 years old, later died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.
