East Topeka, KS : No one seriously injured in rollover crash in east Topeka near S.E. 6th and Burr on Monday, 10th September 2018

No one required a trip to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in east Topeka resulted in one car landing on its top.

The incident was reported at 4:14 p.m. Monday near S.E. 6th and Burr.

A silver Honda Civic was traveling north on 10th Avenue and turning east onto 6th Avenue when it rear-ended a maroon Buick Rendezvous that was going east on 6th, Topeka police officer Gary Atchison said on the scene. The Buick hit the curb and the driver over-corrected. The SUV came to a rest on its top in a field on the south side of 6th.

The drivers, who were the only occupants in the vehicles, suffered minor injuries that weren’t life-threatening. Atchison said neither of the drivers were expected to go to the hospital.

A Topeka police officer was conducting accident reconstruction and Atchison said authorities were investigating the crash.
