Lauderdale County, AL : Florence man killed in crash on Friday, 10th May 2024

A Florence man died in an early Friday crash in Lauderdale County.

Jared G. Box, 39, was killed when the 2020 GMC Yukon he was driving left the road and hit a tree, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA said Box was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred about 7 a.m. Friday on Alabama 133 near Lewis Bruce Lane, about one mile north of Florence.
