Memphis, TN : Man charged in crash that killed woman on Tuesday, 13th September 2016

A man is charged in a crash that killed one woman and injured another Tuesday.

According to the police report, Travis Brownlee was driving his 2007 Chevrolet HHR near the intersection of Shelby Drive and Gill Road just before 12:30 p.m. He lost control and hit a pole, then drove head-on into a drainage ditch.

Browlee was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. However, one of his passengers was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Another passenger died in the crash.

Brownlee was driving on a suspended license and couldn't provide proof of insurance.

He is charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving, driving without insurance, and driving on a suspended license.
