Catawba County ,NC : One dead in crash along highway in Catawba County along NC 16 Wednesday morning,July 29th 2015

At least one person is dead after a crash along NC 16 Wednesday morning, just south of Newton.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened in Catawba County before the N.C. 16 and N.C. 16 Business split.

Information about the person has not been released, but WBTV is working with troopers to get more information.

The vehicle was towed away from the crash.
