Orlando,FL: Police officer hit by car released from hospital on Tuesday m,july 21st 2015

The Orlando police officer run over during a traffic stop last week is heading back to Central Florida after being released from Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
In a memo posted on the Officer Will Anderson Support Fund, the officer's wife, Jessica, said her husband was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.

Anderson will transition from Shands Hospital to an inpatient rehabilitative center.
Orlando police announced a GoFundMe page to support Anderson and his family. More than $38,000 has been raised by more than 700 people in six days, according to the fund's website.
Police said dashcam video released last week showed a car hitting Anderson after the officer ran in front of the vehicle in pursuit of a suspect who ran out of the passenger-side door. The officer was then seen falling to the ground.
