Orlando, FL : Motorcyclist dies in fiery Pine Hills crash on Monday, 23rd April 2018

A motorcyclist died in a fiery crash early Monday morning in Pine Hills, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver of a Ford pickup turned left on Silver Star Road to get onto Coast Line Drive when he struck the motorcyclist about 3:40 a.m., Sgt. Kim Montes said.

The motorcycle was “completely engulfed in flames,” Montes said. The motorcyclist was taken to the medical examiner, who will identify him.

The crash shut down some eastbound lanes of Silver Star Road. Troopers are investigating and have not yet decided whether the pickup driver, a 46-year-old DeLand man, will face charges, Montes said.
