Laurel, MD : Teen killed, others injured in crash on I-95 north in Laurel on Tuesday night, December 13, 2016
A 13-year-old boy has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash that shut down I-95 north in Laurel, Maryland.
Maryland State Police tell local media they received a call Tuesday night about a disabled car in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Route 200. As troopers were responding, a van and semi-truck struck the disabled car.
Police say a fourth vehicle was also struck as a result of the initial crash.
A 45-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy who were riding in the van were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The teen died at the hospital. He hasn't been identified.
Two people inside the disabled car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for five hours.
