Lima,OH : Canton teen dies after crash on November, Thursday 7th 2017

A 16-year-old Canton boy died Sunday from injuries he received in a car crash Thursday, the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

At 2:41 p.m. Thursday, 18-year-old Aaron Laudermilt, 18, of Canton, was driving north on Middlebranch Avenue in Plain Township with his 16-year-old brother, Kevin Laudermilt, in the passenger seat.

The vehicle was traveling too fast to navigate a curve and drove off the road, first striking a utility pole and then a large tree until it came to a rest on the steps of a private residence.

Aaron Laudermilt died at the scene from his injuries.

Plain Township Fire Department transported Kevin Laudermilt to Mercy Medical Center. He was then taken to Akron Children’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries Sunday.

Both boys were wearing seat belts. Alcohol and drugs are not expected to be factors in the crash.

The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
