ANTIOCH, CT : 2 critically hurt in crash on Monday, 24th August, 2020

A driver and passenger in a small sedan were hospitalized with serious injuries on Monday after a pickup truck crashed into their car, police said Tuesday.

A medical helicopter took both to a trauma center for their injuries after paramedics needed 30 minutes to cut them free from the wreckage, police said. One of the two men in the sedan remained in critical condition Tuesday.

The two injured men are 24 and 25 years old, police said.

Officers arrested the 29-year-old driver of the pickup truck after he ran from the crash
